Installing LockDown Browser on Mac always starts from your university's LMS, never the public Respondus website. The installer is a notarised Developer-ID-signed .dmg of 50-90 MB that requires admin authentication on macOS Sonoma and later. The standard install flow on macOS

  1. Sign in to your LMS and navigate to the course that uses LockDown Browser.

  6. Installer copies LockDown Browser.app to /Applications.
